Have you been trying to decide whether to buy a Honda or Nissan vehicle for your Elk Grove commute? They are both solid, reliable brands, so it can be a tough choice. There are some differences, though, which is why we’ve done a detailed Honda vs. Nissan comparison to help you decide. We’ve also included a Nissan vs. Honda reliability analysis.

Nissan vs. Honda – Reliability

According to Consumer Reports, Honda has a higher reliability rating based on customer reviews. Adding to the advantage that Honda has in this regard is that its vehicles generally have a higher resale value than Nissan models. This would also indicate that Honda vehicles are known to have fewer issues over time. The difference in reliability becomes more pronounced for these brands’ certified pre-owned vehicles. Honda requires their vehicles pass a significantly more stringent inspection in order to become certified.

Honda vs. Nissan – Features

Nissan generally offers more features to make your Roseville commute safer and more enjoyable than Honda offers. This especially goes for advanced safety features and infotainment features. Both brands offer a suite of features in both categories, but Nissan’s features outnumber those of Honda in most cases. In regard to safety features, Nissan offers the Nissan Intelligent Mobility Suite, while Honda offers Honda Sensing. The infotainment suites for Nissan and Honda are NissanConnect® and HondaLink®, respectively.

Nissan vs. Honda – Model Selection

The model selection is a mixed bag in that it is hard to choose a clear winner here. Nissan has one more model than Honda for the 2022 model year, and it could arguably be said to include more variety in its lineup. For instance, Nissan has 3 pickup truck models, while Honda only has the Ridgeline. Electrified vehicles are even more mixed. Honda has 3 hybrids, one fuel cell, but no EV. Nissan has 2 EVs, but no hybrids or fuel cells.
